Regatta Jackets

The Regatta name is synonymous with quality outdoor clothing throughout Europe. Created by the Black family in the early 1980s, Regatta is the UK’s leading outdoor supply company – what’s surprising is that it’s still run by the family that founded it. Regatta sportswear includes a wide range of high performance clothing for outdoor, travel, nautical and daily use. There is also a respectable range of footwear available within the Regatta range.

From the company’s Manchester headquarters, Regatta distribute outdoor and leisurewear to thirty countries around the world. Their dedicated teams have developed and launched a variety of product lines aimed at specific sectors within the outdoor market: for high-performance outdoor activities, there is the X-ert Performance label; for those interested in ‘new’ outdoor activities like snowboarding, there is the Dare 2 Be range of specialist clothing. Regatta sportswear is available in a wide range of sizes suitable for all the family – so men, women and children can find comfortable, durable outerwear to meet their needs and even coordinate on the slopes.

For men, Regatta’s offering of coats and jackets is divided into two sections, the X-ert performance range and the outdoor adventure collection. The X-ert Performance collection includes waterproofs, fleeces, softshells and base layers designed to put up with the demands of extreme conditions and adventure sports; the Outdoor Adventure collection is designed for every-day use and built to last. Coats and jackets in the Regatta men’s collection include: the Widescreen, an interactive waterproof jacket with integral hood made from Regatta’s own Isotex 8000 fabric; the Submerge Parka, with style that echoes a classic parka but materials that are bang up to date; the Earthwork, a lightweight waterproof made with Isolite 5000 polyamide micro ripstop fabric; the Aegis Packaway jacket, designed to stow inside it’s lower left-side pocket, with underarm ventilation zips, lycra thumb loops and reflective trim; the Buckland II jacket, with a water-resistant Teflon finish and quilted, wind-resistant texture; and the Bastion, with oodles of pockets, adjustable cuffs and a durable ATL water-repellent coating. Additionally, Regatta have a solid range of fleeces and a good collection of multi-purpose coats and jackets, like the Atom 3-in-1, comprised of a waterproof, breathable Isotex 8000 outer shell and a detachable inner made from super lightweight insulating polyester.

The Regatta women’s collection is divided in a similar way. Coats and jackets designed for active women include: the Marella jacket, crafted from Isotex 8000 pyramid polyamide fabric, with ATL water resistance and Odette fleece lining; the Gabriella coat, made from Isotex 5000 fabric with fur-trimmed hood and thermo-guard insulation; the Pascha fleece with Isotex 5000 waterproof membrane and 250 series Symmetry fleece; and the innovative Helaine 3-in-1 with contrasting panels, a removable Symmetry fleece layer and breathable, waterproof ripstop outer. Again, Regatta have crafted a solid range of fleeces, warmers and light-weight jackets for women to compliment the extensive range of coats.

For the kids, Regatta offer a good collection of waterproofs and fleeces in colours and styles to suit boys and girls. With the boys in mind, Regatta have created the Obi 3-in-1, with a detachable Symmetry fleece inner and a durable, waterproof, ripstop jacket for protection in all seasons. For stylish girls, Regatta offer fashionable pieces, such as the Solitaire jacket – a waterproof with flower-quilted polyamide lining, thermo-guard insulation, a plethora of pockets and a fur-trimmed hood.
