Carhartt Jackets

America’s brand for premium, durable work wear has been around for over a century – and now, thanks to changes in fashion, what was once basic work clothing has become trendy, fashionable and sought after apparel for people all over the world. The Carhartt name was first sewn onto clothes for railway workers in the late 1800s – Hamilton Carhartt started his operation with just four sewing machines and five workers making overalls. The brand grew across America through the early 1900s, and managed to withstand the great depression. In the 30s, Carhartt established a manufacturing and administrative base in Irvine, Kentucky – the company’s headquarters are still there today.

Today, Carhartt employ over 3,000 people and provide quality work and casual wear to nearly 20 million customers around the world. As the workforce has grown, so Carhartt’s range of clothing has increased through the years. Carhartt’s current lineup includes work clothes for farmers, ranchers, construction workers, carpenters and even outdoor enthusiasts. The entire Carhartt range is crafted from fabrics made in Carhartt’s own mills, from cotton duck canvas outerwear to woven and knit tops, jeans and shorts.

Carhartt’s range of jackets and coats are designed to be hard-wearing and durable without compromising on comfort. The collection is primarily designed for men, though there are sizes that will comfortably fit women. In the Carhartt range, coats and jackets are divided between Basic and Protective workwear ranges.

For women, Burberry offer: the Islington trench coat, in a variety of seasonable colours; also, the Gilmorton swing coat, with a Peter Pan collar and a large, inverted pleat on the back; the Agglethorpe swing coat, with a curved collar and three-quarter-length sleeves; the single-breasted, Gleneagles velvet blazer; and the Asherham swing jacket, with over-sized stitch details on the cuffs, neckline and body. There is also a selection of stylish jackets available in the trendy Burberry Prorsum range, including a cropped, quilted jacket available in leather and cotton, and the Burbery Prorsum tuxedo jacket with satin details. All Burberry women’s jackets include classic Burberry details, and are easily recognisable by shape and style as Burberry items.

Burberry jackets for men include a wide variety of trendy takes on fashionable classics such as the blazer, duffel coat, trench coat and traditional full-length Burberry jacket. Men’s jackets by Burberry are available in a good selection of fabrics, from the traditional wool and leather macs to waterproof raincoats in modern materials. There are short, sporty jackets and even padded, winter coats available in the Burberry men’s collection.

For children, Burberry have crafted a range of miniature versions of the most iconic Burberry coats and jackets. The Burberry infants range includes hooded parkas, wool duffel coats and even a pint-sized trench coat for the fashion-conscious little boy or girl in your house.

Burberry jackets for men, women and children are available in selected department stores across the UK. There are also a limited number of Burberry shops, found mostly in London, as well as specialist boutiques which sell Burberry jackets and other apparel in the high street and online.
