The Adidas company was founded by German-born Adolf ‘Adi’ Dassler in the 1920s with the aim of making the best shoes available. Over the decades, Adidas shoes evolved to better-meet the needs of athletes across Europe and around the world. At the same time, Adidas has increased its product range to include all manner of sportswear for casual as well as competitive use.
Today Adidas sell scores of styles of shoes, sportswear and even jackets for spectators as well as athletes. The collection changes to suit the season, but in general you can find a solid collection of coats and jackets in a variety of styles and colours that are sized to suit the whole family.
In terms of jackets for kids, Adidas offer warm-up and starter style jackets featuring the iconic triple stripe as well as the logo and colours of popular football teams such as Chelsea and Liverpool. There are also waterproof kids jackets as well as the popular zip-up hooded sweatshirts for children with classic Adidas markings in a variety of colours. Plus, Adidas recently launched a true designer collection by Stella McCartney – jackets in this range include a women’s cropped tennis jacket designed not to limit your mobility and made from Climacool fabric to keep you cool and dry and a mountain fleece made from Climawarm fabric to keep you toasty during the colder months. There is also a special Adidas range for ladies by Missy Elliot which includes the Rhythm Horseback Blazer, a fitted cotton twill number you can dress up or down to suit your taste.
The lion’s share of jackets by Adidas are for men. Of course, there are classic men’s Adidas options, like the zip-up hoodie and track top. There are also more unique jackets, like the Adistar Wind Jacket, designed to provide protection from wind and light rain. Paying special tribute to Muhammad Ali, Adidas have a pair of men’s jackets – one grey and green track top, one black hoody, both with embroidered detail front and back that’s worthy of a world champion.
